Senior Quality Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Initialization: Review project scope, commercial commitments, timelines and deliverables. Prepare project execution plans, milestones and implementation schedules.
2. Implementer Management: Allocate assignments, supervise Implementers, monitor field activities and ensure effective utilisation of approved mandays.
3. Project Execution & Monitoring: Ensure timely completion of gap assessments, documentation, implementation, training, internal audits and mock audits.
4. Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary operational point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring professional communication, issue resolution and client satisfaction.
5. Central Audit Desk Coordination: Coordinate with CAD for audit scheduling, documentation verification, certification body communication, audit preparedness and nonconformity closure.
6. Customer Experience Desk Coordination: Work closely with CED to ensure timely client updates, appointment coordination, feedback management and resolution of service concerns.
7. Audit Readiness & Completion: Ensure clients are fully prepared for certification, surveillance, recertification and buyer audits, with all compliance requirements and supporting evidence in place.
8. Timeline & Manday Control: Monitor project schedules, allocated mandays, resource utilisation and implementation costs to ensure timely and commercially efficient delivery.
9. Quality Assurance: Review documentation, implementation evidence, internal audit findings and project deliverables to maintain PIPL's quality standards.
10. MIS & Reporting: Maintain accurate project trackers, implementation schedules, visit reports, pending action lists and management dashboards.
11. Escalation & Risk Management: Identify potential delays, client dependencies, scope deviations and compliance risks. Escalate critical matters proactively with corrective action plans.
12. Audit Nonconformity Closure: Coordinate with Implementers and clients to ensure effective corrective action, submission of evidence and closure of audit findings within stipulated deadlines.
13. Commercial & Collection Support: Coordinate with the Accounts Team and management regarding project milestones, billing eligibility, outstanding payments and collection follow ups.
14. Project Continuity & Retention: Support surveillance, recertification, AMC renewals and additional compliance requirements, identifying opportunities for repeat business and client retention.
15. Team Performance & Development: Evaluate Implementer productivity, technical competence, reporting discipline and project delivery effectiveness. Provide coaching and performance feedback.

A Project Manager at PIPL is not merely a coordinator but the accountable owner of project delivery.

The individual must ensure that every assigned project progresses systematically from initialization to successful audit completion, while maintaining technical excellence, operational discipline, client satisfaction and commercial efficiency.

The ultimate measure of success is not how many projects are being managed, but how many are successfully completed, audited, billed and converted into satisfied, long term client relationships.
