Senior QA Engineer - Automation + Salesforce

Role overview

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with a strong automation background to help assure the quality of Qualitia products. The role covers requirement analysis, detailed test design, manual and automated testing, defect investigation, and release validation. The engineer will test Salesforce and Experience Cloud workflows, use Selenium and GitLab in the test process, and work closely with Product, Development, and other QA team members in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review user stories, acceptance criteria, and product behavior; identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and testable outcomes during refinement and planning.
• Write clear, detailed test cases with prerequisites, test data, steps, and expected results; cover positive, negative, integration, and regression scenarios.
• Plan and execute test cycles, manage test cases and results in a test management tool, and maintain traceability from requirements through defects and retesting.
• Test Qualitia features and Salesforce workflows, including Experience Cloud portal automation; investigate issues involving objects, fields, permissions, Lightning pages, and automation behavior.
• Design, run, debug, and maintain reusable Selenium automation; use GitLab repositories and CI pipelines to support test execution and review results.
• Report defects with reproducible steps, evidence, severity, and impact; analyze logs and environment details to distinguish product defects from data, configuration, or test issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, collaborate on sprint testing and release readiness, communicate progress and risks, and verify fixes across relevant builds and environments.

Required skills and experience

• 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in functional testing, with a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining test automation for a software product or comparable application.
• Practical Salesforce testing experience, including standard and custom objects, fields, profiles or permission sets, Lightning user journeys, and automation of Experience Cloud portals.
• Strong Selenium WebDriver skills in reusable test design, locator selection, debugging, and maintenance; experience using GitLab for code review, CI execution, or pipeline results.
• Sound testing fundamentals: test strategy, risk-based coverage, exploratory and regression testing, defect life cycle, and release validation.
• Experience with Agile practices, including story refinement, sprint planning, daily collaboration, and testing within iterative delivery.
• Ability to write detailed, maintainable test cases and manage test suites, execution cycles, evidence, and reporting in a test management system.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with clear written and spoken communication and effective interpersonal skills across teams.

Added advantages

• Working knowledge of Git commands and branching workflows.
• Knowledge of SQL or database concepts for test data setup and validation.
• Experience testing an automation platform or working with Qualitia products.
