Senior Qa Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, smoke, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to understand requirements and define quality standards.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a quality assurance perspective.
• Conduct API testing, database testing, and end-to-end application testing.
• Validate application performance, usability, and security requirements.
• Generate test execution reports and provide quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Support production releases and conduct post-deployment validation.

Preferred candidate profile

• 6-8 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in Manual Testing and Test Automation.
• Experience with automation tools such as:
• Selenium WebDriver
• TestNG/JUnit
• Cypress (preferred)
• Playwright (preferred)
• Experience in API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of web, mobile, and cloud-based application testing.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
