Senior QA Engineer - Manual

What will you be doing? We are looking for

Senior QA Engineer to assess software quality through functional & non-functional testing. Candidate will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. In this role, Candidate should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. Candidate should be competent in executing test cases and also passionate about quality. Ultimately, Candidate will ensure that our products and applications work efficiently. Candidate should work as a full stack QA and perform end to end testing. Support UAT & Production release upgrades.

Job Responsibilities

• Skilled in test case design techniques for functional, regression, API, and performance testing
• Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans and ensure best practices are followed
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
• Review and analyze system specifications
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects
• Report bugs and errors to development teams using defect tracking tools like JIRA. Help debug & troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure requirements are well understood.
• Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Conduct database testing using SQL and PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and validation.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role - Retail domain knowledge is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of SQL queries and API testing (Postman, REST, SOAP).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and regression testing is a plus
• Good-to-have : Experience in end-to-end ETL testing, big data/Hadoop/spark, executing comprehensive test cases, validating data transformations and pipelines across cloud platforms, performing advanced SQL-based data validation, ensuring data quality and schema integrity, and supporting automation and cross-team collaboration.
• Bug tracking tools like JIRA, HP-QC, TestRail etc.
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge on Automation & CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, or similar tools) is a plus
