Senior QA Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

? Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and Selenium.

? Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing of web applications.

? Develop and execute performance, load, and stress tests using Apache JMeter.

? Identify, document, track, and validate software defects throughout the testing lifecycle.

? Build and maintain scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks.

? Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.

? Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to understand requirements and define test scenarios.

? Analyse test results, identify bottlenecks, and support root-cause analysis of application issues.

? Prepare test plans, test cases, test reports, and quality metrics.

? Ensure adequate test coverage and adherence to quality standards across releases.

? Proactively identify opportunities to improve test automation efficiency and overall QA processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

? 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with strong hands-on experience in test automation.

? Strong proficiency in Playwright for browser-based automation.

? Good experience with Selenium WebDriver and automation framework development.

? Hands-on experience with Apache JMeter for performance, load, and stress testing.

? Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python for test automation.

? Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman or REST-assured.

? Good understanding of testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and Agile/Scrum practices.

? Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

? Ability to analyse test execution results, troubleshoot failures, and identify root causes.

? Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

? Experience with cloud-based testing environments.

? Familiarity with SQL and database validation.

? Knowledge of cross-browser testing and test execution in parallel.

? Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira.

? Relevant QA automation or performance-testing certifications are an advantage.
