Senior QA Automation Engineer ETRM

Role & Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans, test scenarios and test cases for ETRM applications.
• Perform functional, system, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Validate ETRM workflows across the energy/commodity trading lifecycle.
• Perform manual test execution and automate suitable regression scenarios.
• Identify, analyze, document and track defects using Jira.
• Manage test cases and execution cycles using Zephyr Scale.
• Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform API and database validation using API testing tools and SQL.
• Participate in defect triage, release validation and Agile ceremonies.
• Analyze automation failures and improve test framework stability and coverage.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation frameworks.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 5-8 years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation.
• Mandatory experience in ETRM/CTRM or Energy/Commodity Trading domain.
• Hands-on experience with OpenLink Endur is highly preferred.
• Strong experience in Playwright automation.
• Strong programming knowledge in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Good understanding of ETRM trade lifecycle, trading, risk, pricing and settlements.
• Strong experience in test planning, test case design and manual test execution.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Zephyr Scale.
• Good knowledge of API testing and SQL/database validation.
• Experience with regression, integration, system and end-to-end testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with technical and business stakeholders.
• Candidates from Energy, Power, Oil & Gas, Commodity Trading or ETRM/CTRM projects are preferred
