Senior QA and QC Civil Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA/QC Civil Engineer to manage and monitor quality control activities across our construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that civil works comply with approved drawings, specifications, project standards and applicable codes.

The ideal candidate should have strong site experience, good knowledge of civil construction quality standards and the ability to coordinate effectively with project teams, consultants and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect civil construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct quality inspections for excavation, PCC, RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring and other civil works.
• Prepare and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), checklists and Method Statements.
• Review material quality and coordinate required material and site testing.
• Monitor concrete sampling, cube tests, soil tests and other applicable tests.
• Review test reports and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Identify quality issues, defects and non-conformities and ensure timely corrective action.
• Prepare and close NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and monitor corrective/preventive actions.
• Review civil and structural drawings and ensure the latest approved revisions are followed at site.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Planning Engineers, Site Engineers, consultants, clients and subcontractors.
• Maintain QA/QC records, inspection reports, test reports and quality documentation.
• Conduct quality checks before client/consultant inspections.
• Monitor recurring quality issues and recommend preventive measures.
• Minimise rework, material wastage and quality-related project delays.
• Support project teams in achieving quality targets while maintaining project schedules.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 812 years of experience in Civil QA/QC, preferably in construction/infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction activities and quality control procedures.
• Good understanding of relevant IS Codes, specifications and testing requirements.
• Hands-on experience in ITPs, Method Statements, Checklists, NCRs and QA/QC documentation.
• Strong knowledge of concrete, reinforcement, structural and finishing works.
• Ability to read and interpret civil and structural drawings.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and preparation of quality reports.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple project stakeholders
