This is a 100% remote position, with an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule for candidates based in the El Dorado Hills, CA metro area.

About the Role
As a Senior QA Analyst on the Keeper Connection Manager team, you will be responsible for validating secure remote access workflows across applications, infrastructure and enterprise environments. KCM enables privileged, credential-free access to remote systems using protocols such as SSH, RDP and VNC. This role is highly hands-on and technical, with a focus on functional, integration, regression and system-level testing. You will work closely with Software Engineering, DevOps and Product teams to identify defects, validate new features and ensure KCM remains secure, reliable and performant across complex deployment scenarios.
Responsibilities
Design and execute test plans for Keeper Connection Manager features and secure remote access workflows
Perform functional, integration, regression, system and exploratory testing across KCM components
Validate remote access workflows using protocols such as SSH, RDP and VNC
Test KCM behavior across different operating systems, network conditions and enterprise environments
Validate authentication, authorization, session management, access controls and encrypted communication workflows
Reproduce, document and track defects with clear technical detail, logs and steps to reproduce
Work closely with Engineering to troubleshoot complex issues involving networking, connectivity, performance and system behavior
Validate new KCM integrations and deployment configurations across cloud and on-premises environments
Build and maintain test cases, regression suites and QA documentation to improve release confidence
Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews and release validation activities
Use AI-assisted tools such as Claude, ChatGPT or similar platforms to support test design, troubleshooting, defect analysis and documentation
Requirements
5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, QA analysis or a related testing role
Experience testing complex enterprise software, infrastructure products or security-sensitive applications
Strong understanding of networking concepts and client-server communication
Hands-on experience testing protocols such as SSH, RDP, VNC, database protocols (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server), or Kubernetes remote access
Experience with functional, integration, regression and system-level testing
Strong troubleshooting skills, including the ability to analyze logs, reproduce complex defects and isolate root causes
Experience testing across Windows, Linux and/or macOS environments
Familiarity with cloud environments, virtualization and DevOps workflows
Experience working with APIs, databases or backend services as part of end-to-end testing
Strong understanding of authentication, authorization and secure access concepts
Experience using defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail or similar
Ability to work closely with Engineering and Product teams in an Agile development environment
Ability and willingness to use AI-assisted tools effectively to improve test development, analysis, troubleshooting and documentation
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Due to this role’s involvement in GovCloud, qualified candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
Preferred Qualifications
Experience testing privileged access management, secure remote access or cybersecurity products
Experience with network troubleshooting tools and packet analysis
Familiarity with automated testing or scripting using Python, JavaScript or similar languages
Experience testing performance, reliability or high-availability scenarios
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes or containerized environments
Experience testing enterprise deployments involving proxies, firewalls, VPNs or restricted networks
Familiarity with Remote Browser Isolation or secure web gateway technologies
Familiarity with Apache Guacamole or KCM's underlying gateway architecture
Experience testing PIV/CAC smart card authentication or federal identity standards
