Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong Python development expertise, experience in Microsoft Azure, and working knowledge of Generative AI technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing scalable backend applications, building REST APIs, integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), and implementing AI-powered solutions using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), tool/function calling, and AI agents.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications using Flask or Quart.

• Build and integrate RESTful APIs for backend services and AI-powered applications.

• Develop and integrate solutions using LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), tool/function calling, and AI agents.

• Implement and support cloud-based applications using Microsoft Azure and related cloud services.

• Design and develop microservices-based applications and asynchronous processing workflows.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and associated development tools.

• Develop and support data integration and synchronization solutions between cloud and on-premises environments.

• Implement unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing to ensure application quality and reliability.

• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve coding, debugging, testing, and technical documentation.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

• Troubleshoot application issues and contribute to performance optimization and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in Python development, backend engineering, or data engineering.

• Strong programming skills in Python, with hands-on experience in Flask or Quart.

• Experience designing and developing REST APIs.

• Working knowledge of LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, tool/function calling, and AI agent development.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud application architecture.

• Understanding of microservices architecture and asynchronous programming.

• Hands-on experience with GitHub, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience integrating and synchronizing data across cloud and on-premises environments.

• Good understanding of unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing frameworks.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools for software engineering tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications in cloud environments.

• Familiarity with Azure AI services and Azure-based application deployment.

• Knowledge of API security, application monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.

• Experience working in Agile development environments.
