Senior Purchase Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Purchase Engineer to manage end-to-end procurement of third-party equipment for intralogistics and warehouse automation projects. The candidate will be responsible for vendor development, techno-commercial evaluation, price negotiation, cost control, and timely delivery of quality equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure third-party equipment such as packaging machines, weighing systems, AGVs, AMRs, sorters, scanners, and printing machines.
• Identify, develop, and maintain reliable suppliers and OEMs.
• Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of vendor quotations.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contract conditions.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Projects, Service, and Finance teams to meet project requirements.
• Ensure timely procurement, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.
• Identify and manage supplier and supply chain risks.
• Track purchase orders, delivery schedules, contracts, and supplier performance.
• Stay updated on new technologies and market trends in intralogistics and automation.

Required Skills

• Experience in procurement, purchasing, and vendor management.
• Knowledge of intralogistics, material handling, or warehouse automation equipment.
• Strong techno-commercial evaluation and negotiation skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance management.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• A Diploma or MBA in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or Materials Management will be an added advantage.

Preferred Industry Experience

Experience in industrial automation, material handling, intralogistics, warehouse automation, or project-based procurement will be preferred.
