Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager will lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of the Global Remittance Platform transformation, supporting adoption of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Agentic AI, and Machine Learning capabilities. This role will establish strong delivery governance, coordinate cross-functional teams, manage dependencies and change, and ensure that program outcomes are delivered within agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk parameters.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project and program delivery, from initiation and planning through execution, transition, closure, and benefits realization.
• Support the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) transformation for the Global Remittance Platform and advance the inclusion of Agentic AI and Machine Learning technologies, including operating model changes identified by the Program and Product Solution teams.
• Define and maintain the integrated project management plan, including scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, resource needs, dependencies, budget, quality expectations, and success measures.
• Own and maintain the program roadmap, release plan, detailed project schedules, and release notes; ensure alignment across product, engineering, architecture, data, security, operations, and business teams.
• Establish delivery governance, decision-making forums, reporting cadence, escalation paths, and clear accountability across workstreams.
• Develop project status reports and executive-level updates that clearly communicate progress, milestones, financial status, risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, and recovery actions.
• Maintain the RAID log and decision register; proactively identify, assess, prioritize, mitigate, escalate, and follow through on risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and action items.
• Manage project scope and change control by assessing the impact of proposed changes on schedule, cost, resources, quality, risks, and expected outcomes.
• Develop and monitor project budgets, forecasts, resource plans, and vendor commitments; identify variances and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate resource capacity and allocation across internal teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to support delivery priorities.
• Build strong relationships with sponsors, product leaders, business owners, technical teams, and external partners; manage expectations and drive timely decisions.
• Plan and facilitate steering committee meetings, program reviews, workshops, release planning sessions, retrospectives, and other governance forums; document decisions, minutes, owners, and due dates.
• Capture, validate, prioritize, and trace business and functional requirements in partnership with business analysts, product owners, and delivery teams.
• Apply Agile project management practices to facilitate planning, backlog readiness, dependency management, impediment removal, delivery predictability, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with the Company Project Lead to assess Agile maturity, establish improvement actions, and track progress across product teams.
• Lead the implementation and adoption of Jira Align, including governance, data quality, reporting standards, user readiness, and integration with team-level delivery practices.
• Create and execute the transition plan from the existing structure to the new product team operating model, ensuring operational readiness, knowledge transfer, stakeholder adoption, and continuity of service.
• Define quality management and acceptance approaches, coordinate testing and readiness activities, and ensure deliverables meet agreed business and technical standards.
• Manage cross-project and cross-team dependencies, resolve delivery conflicts, and coordinate integrated release readiness.
• Track delivery performance through meaningful metrics and dashboards, including milestone health, predictability, throughput, financial performance, risk exposure, and benefits realization.
• Drive vendor and third-party delivery performance against contractual commitments, milestones, service expectations, and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security requirements, regulatory expectations, audit controls, and project documentation standards.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to project team members; foster accountability, collaboration, transparency, and a results-oriented culture.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery methods, governance processes, tools, and stakeholder experience, and lead implementation of agreed improvements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive experience leading complex, cross-functional technology projects or programs in an enterprise environment.
• Strong command of project and program management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, resource, quality, risk, change, vendor, and stakeholder management.
• Demonstrated experience with Agile delivery methods and SAFe practices; experience supporting Agile transformation and product operating models is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Jira Align, or comparable enterprise portfolio and delivery management tools.
• Ability to translate complex delivery information into concise, decision-oriented communications for senior leaders and diverse stakeholders.
• Strong facilitation, negotiation, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and organizational skills.
• Experience delivering AI, Machine Learning, financial technology, payment, or remittance initiatives is an advantage.
• PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, Scrum, or equivalent project/agile certification is preferred.
