Senior Project Manager

The Role

Amzur is looking for a technology-savvy project manager who knows how to turn complex software initiatives into predictable, high-quality delivery.

This is not a traditional project tracking role. You will work closely with engineering teams, customers, and leadership to drive execution, identify delivery risks early, resolve bottlenecks, and continuously improve how we deliver software using modern Agile practices, engineering metrics, automation, and AI.

The right person is a strong people leader and communicator who understands technology well enough to challenge assumptions, recognise delivery risks, and make sound trade-offs.

What You Will Own

Drive Predictable Delivery

• Own end-to-end delivery across scope, schedule, quality, dependencies, and customer commitments.
• Translate business objectives into clear milestones, ownership, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
• Keep teams focused on outcomes rather than activity and status reporting.
• Make delivery trade-offs quickly when priorities, scope, or constraints change.

Use AI to Improve Delivery

• Introduce practical AI-assisted practices across planning, requirements, estimation, development, testing, documentation, and project reporting.
• Use AI and automation to improve team productivity, delivery predictability, quality, and decision-making.
• Identify repetitive project processes that can be automated or augmented with AI.
• Help engineering teams adopt new AI-enabled ways of working without adding unnecessary process overhead.

Anticipate and Manage Risk

• Maintain an always-current view of delivery health, risks, dependencies, constraints, and critical-path items.
• Identify early warning signals before they become missed commitments or customer escalations.
• Define mitigation plans, assign ownership, and drive actions to closure.
• Escalate issues with facts, impact, options, and a recommended course of action.

Lead People

• Build high-performing, accountable, and collaborative cross-functional teams.
• Coach teams and project leads on ownership, execution, communication, and continuous improvement.
• Address performance, collaboration, and accountability issues early.
• Create a culture where problems are surfaced early and solved collaboratively.

Partner with Customers and Leadership

• Act as a trusted delivery partner to customers and internal leadership.
• Communicate progress, risks, decisions, and trade-offs with clarity and transparency.
• Manage expectations proactively, especially when scope, timelines, or priorities need to change.
• Build confidence through predictable execution rather than optimistic reporting.

What Makes You a Strong Fit

The essentials:

• 8+ years of experience delivering software or technology projects, preferably involving modern cloud/software platforms.
• Strong understanding of Agile software delivery and the engineering lifecycle.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional technology teams.
• Strong people leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to spot delivery risk early and take decisive corrective action.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI tools for software development, project management, or productivity, or a strong demonstrated ability to adopt them quickly.
• Comfortable working with engineering teams and capable of challenging technical or delivery assumptions when necessary.

Helpful, but not required:

• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar delivery platforms.
• Experience managing distributed/global teams.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or similar certification.
