Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager – Retail Data & Digital Transformation to lead end-to-end delivery of data and digital transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of technology delivery management, retail domain expertise, stakeholder management, and familiarity with modern data platforms such as Databricks.

This role will focus on delivery ownership, team leadership, stakeholder alignment, risk and dependency management, and continuous improvement. The candidate is expected to understand data and technology concepts but does not need deep hands-on Databricks development experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end delivery of data, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives, ensuring quality, timelines, scope, and business outcomes.
• Lead offshore and distributed technology teams, establishing clear ownership, accountability, and delivery governance.
• Partner closely with GFH business, product, data, architecture, and technology stakeholders to understand priorities and translate them into actionable delivery plans.
• Apply strong knowledge of retail and grocery business processes, including store operations, sales, pricing, promotions, inventory, fulfillment, supply chain, and omnichannel operations.
• Ensure teams have clear understanding of business requirements, context, priorities, and expected outcomes.
• Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, resources, and delivery milestones, proactively driving resolution.
• Facilitate business and technology workshops, requirement discussions, solution reviews, and decision-making forums.
• Review solution approaches at a high level and ensure appropriate engineering, testing, documentation, deployment, and support practices are followed.
• Drive continuous improvement across delivery predictability, quality, productivity, governance, and operational processes.
• Provide clear and concise executive-level reporting on delivery status, risks, dependencies, recommendations, and key decisions.
• Contribute to transformation assessments, technology roadmaps, prioritization, and business-value-driven initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of experience in technology delivery, IT consulting, program/project management, or digital transformation.
• Proven experience managing data, analytics, digital transformation, or retail technology programs.
• Strong understanding of retail/grocery operations and omnichannel business processes.
• Experience managing offshore, distributed, or cross-functional technology teams.
• Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills across business, product, architecture, data, and engineering teams.
• Working knowledge of Databricks, data engineering concepts, cloud data platforms, and modern data architectures.
• Strong understanding of delivery management methodologies, including scope, schedule, risks, dependencies, resources, quality, and governance.
• Ability to translate complex technical challenges into business impact, risks, options, and management-level recommendations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Profile

• Experience working with retail/grocery organizations, retail consulting firms, or enterprise digital transformation programs.
• Exposure to Databricks-based data transformation, modernization, migration, or analytics programs.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and large-scale data transformation initiatives.
• Strong track record of managing complex programs involving multiple stakeholders, teams, and technology dependencies.
