    About this role

    Description

    DESCRIPTION

Amazon's GSARC team is seeking a Senior Product Manager - Technical to drive AI-powered operational products that transform last-mile delivery and logistics operations across international markets. You will own end-to-end product strategy and execution for complex technical solutions that leverage generative AI, machine learning, and automation to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience at scale.

In this role, you will be responsible for customer experiences with considerable scope and complexity — whether a complete product, a significant capability within a platform, or a customer-facing experience requiring cross-team coordination serving internal or external customers. You will manage products with considerable technical difficulty or complexity — products that may appear simple but are deeply technical, are part of complex systems, require significant technical detail in documentation and discussions, or require both strong technology and business domain knowledge to make the right trade-offs.

You will take the lead on initiatives and deliver independently, seeking direction when needed. You will influence strategic direction, customer adoption decisions, and organization priorities. Your work creates value through meaningful outcomes across customer experience, brand, business growth, and operational excellence.

    Key job responsibilities

    Key Job Responsibilities

    • Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI/ML-powered operational tools and platforms
    • Work backwards from customer needs by generalizing requirements from diverse customer personas and use cases across your scope
    • Serve as Voice of the Customer — conducting research, usability studies, and focus groups to identify best-of-breed benchmarks and competitive landscape
    • Demonstrate deep technical curiosity — understanding core technologies within your product domain, architecture decisions, and their implications on performance, scale, and innovation
    • Define technical requirements for APIs and algorithms; participate meaningfully in architecture reviews, probing technical debt implications and long-term maintainability
    • Hold engineering teams to high standards for product solutions; assess how AI capabilities are reshaping product architectures
    • Leverage AI to accelerate development cycles, rapidly generating prototypes, specifications, and documentation to validate customer value propositions faster
    • Balance short-term delivery pressures with long-term architectural integrity — recognizing when technical shortcuts create unacceptable debt and when pragmatic trade-offs accelerate learning
    • Define vision (PR/FAQ), problem statement, tenets, and strategy; own your roadmap and priorities
    • Align stakeholders, make smart trade-offs, and make decisions using sophisticated judgment when data is incomplete
    • Partner with Design to craft exceptional customer experiences; ensure UX quality remains high even as feature complexity grows
    • Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, science, operations, and business teams across multiple geographies

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
    • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
    • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
    • Experience managing technical products or online services
    • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
    • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
