About The Role

AspireBooks is Aspire's accounting product: the layer that turns Aspire from a financial operations platform into the system of record for a business's finances. It is Aspire's biggest product bet, a 0→1 accounting platform targeted to the thousands of businesses already running their finances on Aspire.

We are hiring a Senior Product Manager to take AspireBooks to mid-market customers. This is a builder-PM role: you won't just write specs, you'll ship working features yourself using AI coding tools, working inside the actual codebase alongside engineers. The role exists because mid-market accounting is won on depth and speed of execution, and we need someone who can deliver both.

You'll join a small, autonomous pod of product, design and engineering that ships at startup speed inside a scaled, profitable fintech, working daily with Engineering, Design and accounting domain experts, plus GTM teams in our key markets.

What will you be doing

• Own the mid-market roadmap for AspireBooks, from customer discovery with finance teams and accountants through to shipped features.
• Build and ship production features hands-on using AI-assisted development (Claude Code or similar), end to end.
• Write clear specs for the features the engineering pod builds, and make the build-vs-delegate call feature by feature.
• Define and track success metrics: activation, records created, reconciliation depth and retention.
• Work with Sales and CX to land mid-market customers and turn their feedback into product.
• Shape how AI agents earn the trust of accountants inside the product.
  
  

We would love to get to know you if you have the following

• 5+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years on B2B SaaS.
• A background in fintech or B2B SaaS serving finance teams.
• Experience with workflow-heavy B2B products: invoicing, AP/AR, payments or reporting.
• A builder-PM track record: you ship working features with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor or similar), not just specs, and own discovery → delivery → code.
• Hands-on technical skills: you can read and understand code, and you implement AI in how you and your team work.
  
  

Nice to have

• 6+ years of product experience, including time as a lead or senior PM owning a product line end to end.
• Accounting or ERP software background (Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, Odoo or similar), or close work with accountants and CFOs.
• Working knowledge of double-entry accounting (chart of accounts, journals, reconciliation, close), multi-entity and multi-currency, migration and onboarding flows, or accountant and partner channels.
• A former engineer or technical background; you have shipped production code in a scale-up.
• Experience with mid-market customers, not only SMB self-serve.
• Built end-to-end features solo (frontend + backend); pricing and packaging work; integration experience (bank feeds, tax engines, APIs).
