About the Role:

Support the Product Owner by acting as the senior functional bridge between Finance business stakeholders and SAP delivery teams for Finance Consolidation & Reporting, with a strong focus on Central Finance. The role independently challenges and validates functional designs, integration choices, finance data structures, testing and deployment deliverables across CFIN and the connected Finance landscape. It addresses the current internal capability gap by converting previous hands-on SAP Finance project experience into internal validation, governance and business-facing expertise. This is an L8 role because decisions can affect the global Finance model, reporting consistency, master-data structures and multiple integrated systems, requiring proven judgement and autonomy.

Technical Skills Required

Total experience: 7+ years in SAP Finance delivery, functional consulting, Finance transformation or product roles.
Relevant experience: Minimum 5 years of hand s-on SAP FI/CO experience in implementation, integration or deployment projects, including direct involvement in configuration, functional design, testing and go-live activities. Previous Central Finance or SAP S/4HANA experience is an advantage.
Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
Certifications (if any): SAP FI/CO, SAP S/4HANA Finance, SAP Central Finance, business analysis, product management or Agile certification is an advantage, but not mandatory.

Must Have

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP Finance experience gained through implementation, integration or deployment projects, not only theoretical knowledge or support coordination.
- Strong SAP FI/CO functional and configuration background, with the ability to understand how a solution is configured, assess proposed changes and identify functional or integration risks.
- Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting processes, including Record to Report, financial closing, postings, controls and master-data dependencies.
- Proven ability to review, challenge and validate functional designs, configuration choices, test evidence and deployment deliverables produced by internal or external delivery teams.
- Experience translating complex business requirements into functional solutions and explaining solution constraints, impacts and trade-offs to Finance stakeholders.
- Experience identifying end-to-end dependencies across SAP Finance and integrated modules or applications.
- Ability to work autonomously, make recommendations, escalate material risks and act as a credible bridge between business stakeholders, Product Owners, project teams, AMS and external partners.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, structured problem solving and clear written and verbal communication.

Good to Have

- Previous hands-on experience with SAP Central Finance or SAP S/4HANA Finance.
- Knowledge of CFIN concepts such as organisational structures, master-data mapping, replication, reconciliation and source-system integration.
- Experience with Finance consolidation, statutory reporting, management reporting, analytics or downstream EPM integrations.
- Experience in global core-model governance, design authority or multi-country deployment environments.
- Knowledge of SAP Best Practices based on previous deployment implementations.
- SAP S/4HANA Finance, Central Finance, business analysis, product management or Agile certification.

Key Responsibilities

Core responsibilities
- Partner with the squad Product Owner to understand and prioritise business needs for Finance Consolidation, statutory and management reporting, and Central Finance evolution.
- Translate complex reporting and accounting requirements into clear functional expectations, user stories, acceptance criteria and validation guardrails.
- Challenge and validate CFIN and SAP FI/CO functional designs, data structures, mappings, replication or integration choices and test evidence produced by project, delivery or AMS teams.
- Assess how proposed changes affect the global Themis model, organisational structures, General Ledger, controlling objects, Finance Master Data and downstream reporting.
- Provide senior functional guidance on Record to Report, financial closing, accounting, consolidation and reporting dependencies.

Delivery / operational responsibilities
- Validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements, design principles, control expectations, data-quality needs and agreed acceptance criteria before release.
- Lead end-to-end impact assessments across CFIN, Themis, SAP S/4HANA environments, source systems, master data and reporting or analytics solutions.
- Review defects, incidents and enhancement proposals, identify root causes and recommend scalable solutions that protect the global model.
- Support implementation and deployment work through design review, test strategy, reconciliation, cutover readiness, knowledge transfer and post-go-live stabilisation.
- Maintain decision records and functional documentation so critical CFIN and Finance reporting knowledge remains inside the organisation.

Stakeholder & collaboration responsibilities
- Act as the bridge between Finance stakeholders and chapter functional/technical teams, ensuring that accounting and reporting requirements are translated into sustainable SAP solutions.
- Facilitate design and validation discussions with Finance, Product Teams, programme teams, architecture, data and external delivery partners.
- Challenge external experts constructively, make risks and trade-offs visible and support the Product Owner and Senior Product Owner with evidence-based recommendations.
- Coach Product Analysts and contribute to stronger internal SAP Finance and CFIN validation capability.
