Senior Procurement Executive - Civil

Role & responsibilities:

• Handle procurement of civil materials such as cement, steel, sand, aggregates, tiles, sanitaryware, plumbing materials, paints, hardware, and other construction materials.
• Source and evaluate vendors, contractors, and suppliers based on quality, pricing, delivery timelines, and reliability.
• Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, negotiate rates, and finalize purchase orders.
• Manage procurement for civil repair, renovation, maintenance, and construction works.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to project/site locations.
• Develop and maintain a strong vendor network across locations.
• Monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, quality issues, and vendor performance.
• Negotiate commercial terms, credit periods, payment terms, and bulk purchase discounts.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and procurement efficiency.
• Resolve vendor-related issues related to pricing, quality, shortages, and delayed deliveries.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• 3-8 years of experience in civil procurement / construction procurement.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction materials and market rates.
• Good vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Experience in handling multiple sites/projects will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, procurement software/ERP, and basic MIS reporting.
