- Book Design & Layouting: Design and layout age-appropriate, visually engaging preschool textbooks, workbooks, activity kits, and teacher manuals (Playgroup, Nursery, LKG, UKG).
- Structural Precision: Implement grid systems, master pages, and consistent typography suitable for early childhood readers.
- Binding & Margin Setup: Calculate and apply correct gutter allowances, safety margins, page numbering, and signature sequences based on binding types (saddle-stitch, perfect bind, wire-o).
- Illustration Integration: Incorporate vector artwork, character illustrations, and interactive learning elements cleanly into structured page spreads.
B. Offset & Digital Prepress Production
- File Preparation: Prepare color-accurate, press-ready vector files and multi-page layouts utilizing CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign.
- Prepress Verification: Perform preflight checks including CMYK color space compliance, Pantone/PMS spot color management, bleed setup, minimum 300 DPI image resolution, and trapping settings.
- Plate & Imposition Setup: Manage multi-page imposition planning, die-cut vectors, varnish/UV layers, and foil-stamping masks for efficient Computer-to-Plate (CTP) output.
- Vendor & Press Coordination: Collaborate directly with offset press operators and print production partners to inspect digital proofs, CTP plates, paper stock selection (GSM), and post-press finishing quality.
C. Marketing Collaterals & Graphic Design
- Print Marketing: Design promotional posters, infographics, banner displays, catalog covers, and event collaterals for preschools and distributor kits.
- Brand Consistency: Maintain uniform branding across both print literature and digital touchpoints.
D. Digital Content & Video Motion Animation
- Video Production: Create short 2D animated videos, motion graphics, and video advertisements (Reels/Shorts) for digital marketing channels.
- Visual Storytelling: Animate book characters, interactive lessons, or brand announcements using video editing tools to increase online campaign engagement.
3. Key Requirements & Qualifications
Technical & Software Mastery
- CorelDRAW: Advanced skills in node manipulation, vector tracing, color separation, print-merge, and preparing files for offset machines.
- Adobe Creative Cloud:
- Adobe Illustrator: Expert level in vector graphics, artboard management, and complex layout elements.
- Adobe InDesign: Expert level in multi-page book publishing, master pages, parent page setups, paragraph/character styles, and book compilation.
- Motion Graphics & Video Editing: Hands-on proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, or comparable video tools (e.g., CapCut/Canva Pro) for short-form video creation.
Core Print Knowledge
- Printing Processes: Comprehensive understanding of offset press mechanics, digital short-run printing, CTP processing, and color separation techniques.
- Finishing & Paper Mechanics: Strong knowledge of paper grades, GSM selection, folding schemes, grain direction, lamination, die-cutting, and embossing processes.
Soft Skills & Creative Abilities
- Preschool Aesthetic Sense: Keen eye for child-friendly aesthetics, bright color palettes, clear visual hierarchy, and simple typography.
- Quality Control: Exceptional attention to technical detail with zero tolerance for typographical, alignment, or pre-press file errors.
