Senior Plc Programmer

Job Title: Senior PLC Programmer Industrial Automation Experience: 5+ Years

Location: Chennai (Requires travel to customer sites based on project needs)

Job Summary

A leading industrial automation solution provider is seeking an experienced Senior PLC Programmer with expertise in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming, as well as hands-on experience in installation and commissioning. The candidate will manage projects from design through site commissioning across major automation platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, program, test, and troubleshoot PLC control logic for industrial automation systems.
• Design and configure HMI screens and develop/maintain SCADA systems for machine/process control and monitoring.
• Program and integrate automation platforms, specifically:
  
• Mitsubishi PLC, HMI & SCADA (Mandatory / High Priority)
• Allen Bradley PLC, HMI & SCADA
• Siemens PLC, HMI & SCADA
• Interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, and panel wiring diagrams.
• Support control panel installation, machine wiring verification, and system integration.
• Perform installation, commissioning, startup, I/O checking, loop testing, FAT/SAT, and smooth system handovers at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning and production support.
• Travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, and site support as required.
• Coordinate with project, electrical, and service teams for successful execution.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial automation.
• Strong hands-on expertise in PLC Programming, HMI Designing, SCADA Designing, and Site Installation & Commissioning.
• Solid understanding of electrical circuits and schematics.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently at customer sites.
