Senior Platform Engineer

We are looking for a Platform Engineer with 8-13 years of experience to help build and operate the infrastructure powering Repurpose.io 's SaaS platform. The role will focus heavily on AWS, Terraform, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, scalability, security, reliability, and developer experience. The engineer will work across the platform stack, from Infrastructure as Code foundations to production operations, building reusable Terraform blueprints, improving deployment pipelines, enabling self-service infrastructure, and ensuring highly available, secure, observable, and resilient systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and operate highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient AWS platforms.
• Develop and maintain reusable Terraform IaC modules and blueprints for microservices teams.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
• Enable self-service infrastructure while maintaining security, governance, and operational guardrails.
• Work closely with engineering teams to understand platform requirements and implement appropriate infrastructure solutions.
• Implement autoscaling, capacity planning, observability, disaster recovery, and performance improvements.
• Establish and maintain infrastructure testing, including Terraform Test and policy-as-code.
• Ensure infrastructure follows least-privilege, zero-trust, and security best practices.
• Identify and remediate infrastructure drift and eliminate manual infrastructure changes.
• Support production releases, runbooks, rollback procedures, incident management, and postmortems.
• Improve developer experience through automation, tooling, reusable infrastructure components, and self-service capabilities.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of relevant Platform / DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure experience.
• 3+ years of strong hands-on AWS experience.
• Strong experience with: ECS / Fargate / ECR, DynamoDB, MSK / Kafka, Aurora Serverless, SNS / SQS, CloudFront, S3, Route 53, IAM.
• Strong Terraform expertise, including reusable modules, state management, and IaC best practices.
• Experience building and scaling SaaS platforms from thousands to hundreds of thousands of users.
• Strong understanding of high availability, scalability, observability, resilience, and security.
• Experience with Terraform Test / IaC testing.
• Experience designing and managing CI/CD and infrastructure deployment pipelines.
• Experience with security, performance, capacity, and disaster-recovery testing.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure automation and pure IaC practices.
• Good communication, ownership, planning, estimation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile startup/scale-up environments with distributed teams.
• Exposure to AI infrastructure, including RAG, multi-agent runtimes, sandboxing, and credential brokering.
• Experience developing CircleCI Orbs.
