Key Responsibilities

Kubernetes & Container Platform

• Deploy, configure, and manage applications on Kubernetes clusters.
• Develop and maintain Helm Charts for Kubernetes deployments.
• Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes best practices.
• Monitor cluster health, performance, resource utilization, and application availability.
• Configure Kubernetes networking components, including Ingress Controllers, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Persistent Volumes.

Cloud-Native Development & API Integration

• Design and implement integrations with cloud-native services and REST APIs.
• Develop automation tools and platform services using Go (Golang), Python, and Shell scripting.
• Build and maintain scalable microservices deployment workflows.
• Integrate authentication, storage, messaging, and monitoring services within cloud-native environments.

Automation & Platform Engineering

• Develop automation scripts and operational tools to improve engineering productivity.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment workflows using Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
• Standardize deployment processes across development, QA, staging, and production environments.
• Improve platform reliability through automation, monitoring, and continuous optimisation.

Monitoring, Security & Reliability

• Implement centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting for applications and infrastructure.
• Ensure secure deployment practices, including certificate, secret, and access management.
• Perform root cause analysis for production issues and implement preventive measures.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and high availability.

CI/CD & Release Engineering (Preferred / Growth Path)

• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent.
• Interest in automating build, test, packaging, and deployment workflows.
• Understanding of deployment strategies such as rolling updates, blue-green deployments, and canary releases.
• Willingness to contribute to release engineering and DevOps automation initiatives.

Required Technical Skills

Mandatory

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and application deployment.
• Strong programming skills in Go (Golang), Python, and Shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration.
• Experience in cloud-native application development and REST API integration.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Good understanding of Git workflows and version control.
• Solid knowledge of networking concepts including DNS, TLS/SSL, Load Balancers, and Ingress.
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Taking the ownership and collaboration skills to work with the team to deliver the expected outcome
