Senior Plant Cost Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Plant Cost Accountant to lead plant costing, financial analysis, budgeting, profitability analysis, inventory accounting, and cost optimization initiatives. The candidate will partner with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing efficiency, strengthen cost controls, and support strategic decision-making through accurate financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end plant cost accounting activities.
• Develop and maintain standard costing and product costing systems.
• Review BOMs, routing, and manufacturing cost structures.
• Analyze material, labour, overhead, and production variances.
• Prepare profitability and margin analysis by product, customer, and business segment.
• Monitor inventory valuation, slow-moving inventory, and inventory accuracy.
• Drive cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
• Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and monthly financial reviews.
• Develop plant MIS dashboards and KPI reports for management.
• Monitor capital expenditure (CapEx) and project costs.
• Support SAP CO implementation, enhancements, and process improvements.
• Coordinate with Production, SCM, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Finance
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and audit requirements.
