Senior PHP Developer

Role Description The Senior PHP Developer is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems and APIs that support BTN’s web platforms and tools. The developer will write clean, secure, and scalable PHP code, implement object-oriented design patterns, and optimize database queries and application performance. Day-to-day activities include collaborating with product and design teams, integrating front-end components, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and participating in code reviews to uphold high engineering standards. The Senior PHP Developer will also mentor junior developers, contribute to technical architecture decisions, and help continuously improve development processes and documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with experience building scalable web applications.
• Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), including PHP and common frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony).
• Experience with Front-End Development concepts and technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for effective integration with backend services.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL), RESTful APIs, version control systems (Git), and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to write maintainable, testable code and familiarity with automated testing frameworks and debugging tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience in a senior or lead developer role and mentoring other developers is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
