Senior Performance Marketing Expert - Google Ads / Meta (Facebook) Ads

About the role
This is a senior, high-ownership role. It is not for beginners or people who have only assisted on campaigns. You will run paid acquisition for a two-sided marketplace, bringing in learners who book lessons and instructors who join the platform. You will decide strategy, own the budget and be accountable for results.

What you'll do

• Own and lead all paid campaigns on Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, Display, YouTube) and/or Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram)
• Drive bookings and instructor sign-ups at a profitable cost per booking and cost per lead
• Build and scale location-based campaigns across Australian states, cities and suburbs
• Set up and audit tracking: GA4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel and Conversions API
• Diagnose problems fast: wasted spend, tracking gaps, weak funnels, creative fatigue
• Run structured tests on audiences, ad copy, creatives and landing pages
• Report weekly with clear insights, and advise the founders on growth strategy

Who we're looking for

• 5+ years of hands-on experience running paid campaigns. More experience is a definite advantage
• Expert-level knowledge of Google Ads OR Meta Ads. Expertise in both is a strong advantage.
• Proven track record, with numbers, of scaling campaigns profitably (ROAS, CPL, CPA)
• Experience managing significant monthly budgets [2 lakh+/month]
• Strong command of GA4, GTM, pixel and Conversions API setup, done by yourself
• Experience with lead generation, bookings, or marketplace/service businesses
• Sharp analytical skills, and comfortable with Google Sheets or Looker Studio
• Independent, self-driven and comfortable working fully remote
• Excellent written English

Good to have

• Experience running ads for the Australian market
• Experience with two-sided marketplaces
• Google Ads or Meta Blueprint certification
