Senior Oracle DBA

About the Company/Team Join a mission-critical database services team responsible for keeping enterprise Oracle database platforms secure, highly available, and performant. The team partners closely with customers, engineering, and support to resolve complex incidents, improve operational resiliency, and deliver proactive optimizations across large-scale Oracle environments.

Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator/Engineer to provide 24x7 operational support and advanced engineering for Oracle database platforms. You will lead performance tuning, high availability (HA) implementations, troubleshooting of escalated issues, and continuous improvement across Oracle Database 11g/12c environments, including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Exadata, and Golden Gate.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide

24x7 operational support for production Oracle databases, including incident response, triage, root cause analysis, and restoration of service.

• Perform

advanced performance tuning (SQL/query-level, database-level, and memory-level), producing actionable tuning recommendations and measurable improvements.

• Administer and engineer Oracle platforms including

Oracle Database (11g/12c), RAC, ASM, Exadata, Data Guard, Backup & Recovery , and related components.

• Implement and enhance

high availability and disaster recovery features (e.g., RAC/Data Guard strategy, failover planning, recovery readiness).

• Design, configure, and support

Oracle GoldenGate , including

GoldenGate HA configurations.

• Manage escalated technical situations by developing

clear action plans , coordinating stakeholders, and driving issues to resolution with Development and Support teams.

• Identify and propose

proactive services/optimizations that improve stability, performance, or cost for customers.

• Follow and reinforce

support processes , documentation standards, and operational best practices (runbooks, postmortems, change controls).

Qualifications & Skills Mandatory (Must-Have)

• 10+ years of experience as an Oracle

DBA / Consultant / Support Engineer in enterprise environments.

• Expert-level knowledge of

Oracle Database administration, including strong hands-on experience with

Oracle 11g and 12c .

• Deep expertise in

performance tuning :

• SQL/query tuning
• Database tuning
• Memory-level tuning and associated tuning activities
• Strong experience implementing and operating

High Availability/DR capabilities (e.g.,

RAC, Data Guard , backup/recovery strategy).

• Hands-on experience with

Oracle GoldenGate , including configuration and support; ability to

configure GoldenGate HA .

• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to handle

escalations , communicate clearly, and drive structured resolution plans.

• Willingness to work in a

24x7 support model and

travel to client locations as required.

Good-to-Have (Preferred)

• Working knowledge of

Oracle Multitenant architecture .

• Experience with

Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 11g/12c/13c .

• Knowledge of database security tools/controls such as

AVDF, DB Vault, Oracle Key Vault, e-Wallet, TDE .

• BE/BTech and/or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent).
• Certifications such as

Oracle OCP DBA ,

OCI , and/or

ADB certification.
