About this role
- Advanced Network Monitoring Incident Handling
- Monitor global network infrastructure using enterprise-grade tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, BMC Helix, ThousandEyes).
- Classify alerts, validate true incidents, and take immediate action based on SOPs/runbooks.
- Handle P1/P2 critical outages, initiate bridge calls, and drive incident resolution.
- Perform deep-dive diagnosis on recurring alert patterns and network performance issues.
- Ensure full and accurate ITSM documentation in ServiceNow/Remedy/Jira.
- Level-2 Troubleshooting RCA
- Troubleshoot complex issues involving routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, wireless controllers, and load balancers.
- Perform packet captures and log analysis using tools such as Wireshark and TCPdump.
- Work with L3 teams and vendor TAC for escalated troubleshooting.
- Operational Excellence Changes
- Execute approved network changes including upgrades, migrations, and policy/rule modifications.
- Perform config reviews, backup validation, and link failover testing.
- Adhere to ITIL Change Management with complete risk/impact rollback documentation.
- NOC Tools Platforms
- Monitoring: BMC Helix, SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, ThousandEyes
- Logging/SIEM: Splunk, ELK, QRadar
