Senior Network Engineer

About Position:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineering L3 - Fortinet SD-WAN professional to support enterprise network transformation initiatives involving SD-WAN deployment, migration, optimization, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, validating, troubleshooting, and supporting Fortinet Secure SD-WAN environments while ensuring seamless connectivity across MPLS, DIA, LEO, cloud, and hybrid network infrastructures. This role requires strong expertise in routing, VPN technologies, network security, migration activities, and advanced troubleshooting within large-scale enterprise environments.

What You'll Do:

• Configure and implement Fortinet Secure SD-WAN solutions across enterprise environments.
• Configure DIA and LEO path steering policies to optimize network performance.
• Design, implement, and validate routing policies using BGP, OSPF, and route redistribution techniques.
• Configure and troubleshoot IPsec VPN connectivity across branch, data center, and cloud environments.
• Support MPLS, internet, and hybrid connectivity architectures.
• Implement network design standards and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture requirements.
• Validate FortiGate configurations and ensure adherence to security and operational standards.
• Support migration waves, deployment activities, and network transformation initiatives.
• Participate in pilot execution, testing, and rollout activities.
• Perform rollback validation and support migration readiness assessments.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, routing, security, and performance-related issues.
• Perform connectivity validation, routing validation, and SD-WAN policy verification.
• Conduct failover testing and traffic steering validation.
• Support performance testing and network optimization activities.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify service-impacting issues.
• Participate in hypercare support and critical incident management activities.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring network issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, knowledge articles, and configuration standards.
• Collaborate with network, cloud, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to operations and support teams.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 8 to 14 years of experience in Enterprise Networking, Network Engineering, and SD-WAN technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with FortiGate Firewalls and Fortinet Secure SD-WAN solutions.
• Expertise in routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and route redistribution.
• Strong experience with MPLS, DIA, internet connectivity, and hybrid network environments.
• Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting IPsec VPN solutions.
• Strong understanding of NAT, Policy-Based Routing, and High Availability configurations.
• Experience with traffic steering, path selection, and SD-WAN optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in network monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting tools.
• Strong experience using Wireshark and packet analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of cloud connectivity and cloud networking concepts.
• Experience supporting large-scale migration, transformation, and deployment projects.
• Understanding of network security best practices and enterprise connectivity architectures.
• Experience with FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer is preferred.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Networking and Cloud VPN solutions is desirable.
• Exposure to Python, Terraform, or network automation technologies is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage complex technical issues in fast-paced environments.
