Role Description

Senior Merchandiser

Location: Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu

Function: Merchandising - Apparel Export Industry

We are looking for a Senior Merchandiser to manage marketing merchandising, product development, pre- and post-order activities, local sourcing, sampling, and coordination with customers, vendors, and factories.

• Manage product development, sampling, fit approvals, R&D, sealing samples, and production files.
• Understand tech packs and ensure samples, measurements, quality, and timelines meet buyer requirements.
• Coordinate with factories, customers, internal teams, and vendors for smooth order execution.
• Support new customer development, market intelligence, and local buyer requirements.
• Develop and maintain fabric/vendor databases, swatches, and sample hangers.
• Handle local sourcing of fabrics, trims, and accessories, including order placement and follow-up.
• Ensure timely approvals, documentation, order closure, and post-shipment reporting.
• Coordinate local and international courier/logistics requirements.
• Provide regular updates on sampling and merchandising status.

Education: Graduate

Experience: 8–12 years

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of woven and knitted fabrics, garment construction, costing, and product development.
• Understanding of garment testing parameters and buyer requirements.
• Good communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Positive work ethic, learning agility, and critical-thinking ability.
• Experience working with factories, vendors, and internal merchandising teams.
