Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Lipi Data Systems Ltd. is looking for an experienced Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Design Factory team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Sheet Metal Design, CAD Modelling, Manufacturing Drawings, GD&T, and Product Development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop sheet metal components, parts, and assemblies. 
•  Create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using CAD software. 
• Drive product development from concept and prototype to production. 
• Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-up, DFM, and DFA principles. 
• Collaborate with Production, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and Tooling teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability. 
• Resolve design, fabrication, tooling, and manufacturing issues through effective engineering solutions. 
• Coordinate prototype development, testing, validation, and design improvements. 
• Support cost optimization and product improvement initiatives. 
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior design engineers. 
• Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, quality requirements, and customer specifications.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Requirements
• B.E. /B.Tech. /Diploma in Mechanical Engineering 
• 3–7 years of hands-on experience in Sheet Metal Design – Mandatory 
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, tooling, bending, welding, and manufacturing processes 
•  Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Siemens NX, or equivalent CAD software 
• Good understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA, and engineering drawings 
• Strong problem-solving, design analysis, and cross-functional coordination skills
