Senior Manager

Role Purpose

To lead and drive the overall Business Development function for Chamundi Die Cast Private Limited by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic relationships with automotive OEMs and Tier-1 customers, increasing market share, and delivering sustainable revenue and profitability growth.

The role will be responsible for developing new customers and products across HPDC, GDC, aluminium castings, CNC machined components and value-added assemblies, with a focus on emerging EV and mobility applications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development Strategy

• Develop and execute the annual Business Development strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives.

• Identify target customers, market segments, products and geographies for business expansion.

• Develop a robust business pipeline covering short-, medium- and long-term opportunities.

• Conduct market intelligence, competitor benchmarking and industry analysis.

• Identify opportunities in automotive, EV, two-wheeler, four-wheeler and non-automotive segments.

2. New Customer Acquisition

• Identify and establish relationships with potential OEMs, Tier-1 and Tier-2 customers.

• Develop new accounts and convert prospects into long-term customers.

• Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in Purchase, Engineering, R&D, Quality and Program Management.

• Represent the company in customer meetings, industry forums, exhibitions and business conferences.

• Develop strategic partnerships and explore new business models.

3. New Business / RFQ Management

• Lead the complete business development cycle from customer enquiry/RFQ to nomination and SOP.

• Review customer RFQs in coordination with Engineering, Costing, Tooling, Quality and Operations teams.

• Ensure timely submission of technically and commercially competitive quotations.

• Drive RFQ conversion, negotiation and business closure.

• Track RFQ funnel, nomination status and business potential through a structured MIS.

• Ensure effective handover of awarded projects to Program Management / Operations.

4. Revenue & Business Growth

• Develop plans to achieve annual revenue, order booking and profitability targets.

• Drive business growth from existing customers through new products, applications and increased wallet share.

• Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.

• Monitor customer-wise and product-wise revenue, margins and business potential.

• Develop strategies for improving customer contribution and reducing business concentration risk.

5. EV & New Mobility Business

• Develop business opportunities in EV and new mobility applications, particularly aluminium castings and machined components.

• Identify emerging product opportunities such as motor, transmission, battery, structural and other aluminium components.

• Develop relationships with EV OEMs, start-ups and Tier-1 suppliers.

• Track emerging technologies, customer requirements and future sourcing trends.
