Senior Manager

We are looking for a Sr. Manager / Lead to manage service procurement and contracts for our 50 above MW coal-based thermal power plant. You will own the contracting lifecycle for O&M, overhaul, and support services, from sourcing and tendering to negotiation, award, administration, and closure, while keeping cost, compliance, and plant availability on track.

Role & responsibilities :

• Plan and execute procurement of services such as O&M, AOH/capital overhaul, shutdown and outage jobs, BOP, CHP, ash handling, FGD, civil maintenance, and manpower supply.
• Develop sourcing and contract strategies by category, including rate contracts, annual contracts, and package contracts.
• Prepare and float tenders, run techno-commercial evaluation, conduct negotiations and reverse auctions, and recommend awards to the tender committee.
• Draft and vet GCC/SCC and commercial terms (price variation, liquidated damages, PBG, security deposit) with Legal and Finance.
• Handle claims, disputes, and arbitration, and mitigate contract risks.
• Ensure statutory compliance, including CLRA, minimum wages, GST/TDS, and internal audit.
• Build and manage the approved vendor base through empanelment, performance evaluation, and rationalization.
• Track budgets, spend, and savings, and publish MIS and cost-saving reports to management.
• Coordinate with O&M, Maintenance, Finance, Legal, and Stores to plan service requirements ahead of shutdowns.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of contracts and procurement executives.
