JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager - AI Model Governance will be responsible for establishing and managing an independent governance framework for Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Predictive Analytics and Generative AI models used across underwriting processes.
The role will provide independent oversight and challenge to model development teams and ensure that underwriting models remain accurate, reliable, explainable, compliant and aligned with the Companys risk appetite throughout their lifecycle.
As part of the Underwriting Governance team, the incumbent will be responsible for establishing governance standards across model development, validation, approval, deployment, monitoring, recalibration and retirement.
The role will work closely with Underwriting, Risk, Technology, Analytics, Compliance and Internal Audit teams to enable responsible and controlled adoption of AI across the underwriting value chain.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -
- Establish and maintain the governance framework for AI/ML models used in underwriting.
- Perform independent review and challenge of model assumptions, methodologies and performance.
- Establish and oversee monitoring of model performance, data drift, concept drift and model degradation.
- Implement governance standards relating to fairness, bias, explainability and transparency.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory expectations and emerging AI governance requirements

System Knowledge:
Python, R, Spark etc. ML / DL frameworks like tensor flow, keras, AutoML, pytorch etc.
Knowledge and Experience in working with cloud stack - AWS for enabling on cloud solution deployment roles.
