Senior Manager - Treasury Role

We are scouting for an experienced Treasury professional to lead and strengthen global treasury function.

The role will be located at Pune and responsible for managing global foreign exchange risk, investments, liquidity, banking relationships, funding strategies, treasury operations, and working capital optimization across multiple geographies.

The candidate should have strong experience in corporate treasury within a large multinational organization and possess the mindset to support business growth while maintaining robust governance, risk management, and compliance.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience

• 15-20 years of experience with significant exposure to Corporate Treasury
• Experience in multinational organizations with global treasury responsibilities

Professional Qualification

• Chartered Accountant (CA) and/or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution
• Additional treasury certifications will be an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

Foreign Exchange & Risk Management

• Fx risk management and hedging strategies
• Monitor foreign currency exposures and mitigate market risks
• Present risk assessments and recommendations to senior management

Investments & Treasury Operations

• Oversee surplus fund investments while ensuring safety, liquidity, and yield objectives
• Manage treasury operations, controls, and governance frameworks
• Ensure compliance with investment policies and regulatory requirements
• Monitor treasury performance metrics and reporting

Treasury Strategy & Liquidity Management

• Manage global cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, and working capital optimization
• Optimize cash utilization across geographies and entities
• Drive treasury transformation initiatives focused on automation, controls, and operational efficiency

Cash Flow Forecasting & Capital Management

• Lead short-term and long-term cash flow forecasting processes
• Monitor liquidity requirements and ensure adequate funding availability
• Support strategic initiatives including acquisitions, investments, and business expansion

Banking & Financial Institution Management

• Manage relationships with domestic and international banking partners
• Negotiate banking facilities, pricing, documentation, and service arrangements
• Lead treasury-related discussions with banks, financial advisors, rating agencies, and auditors
• Drive optimization of banking infrastructure and cash management solutions

Governance, Compliance & Controls

• Ensure full compliance with the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations, and other applicable exchange control requirements across all treasury activities. Partner with tax, legal, and finance teams to ensure timely regulatory filings, adherence to FEMA guidelines.
• Monitor evolving regulatory requirements and provide guidance on treasury structures, cross-border transactions, and capital movement to maintain compliance while supporting business growth and operational efficiency
• Ensure adherence to treasury policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
• Support statutory audits, internal audits, and regulatory reviews
• Maintain strong governance around banking mandates, signatories, and treasury transactions
• Continuously strengthen risk and control frameworks

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Advising senior management on the treasury implications of acquisitions, overseas expansions, restructuring initiatives, and capital allocation decisions
• Partner with finance leadership, business teams, tax, procurement, and accounting functions
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing treasury team
• Prepare executive presentations and treasury updates for senior leadership and board committees
• Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve cash flow, profitability, and risk management
