Your Key Responsibilities

Technical Excellence

• Role Summary: * Responsible for financial and revenue analysis of the Prohibition & Excise Department. * Evaluate tax structures, revenue trends, pricing mechanisms, and excise frameworks. * Support policy formulation and revenue optimization strategies. Key Responsibilities: * Review current revenue architecture, including tax slabs, excise duties, and license fee models. * Analyse historical and current revenue across IMFL, Beer, FL, and Country Liquor segments. * Recommend strategies for tax optimization, MRP rationalization, and revenue enhancement. * Prepare financial benchmarks with other progressive Indian states. * Develop financial models and dashboards for projecting revenue under policy scenarios. * Assess fiscal impact of proposed policy changes on excise revenue. * Coordinate with Corporation, Excise officials, and technical teams for data collection and validation. * Draft monthly financial progress reports and presentations for government review. * Liaise with audit and accounts teams for data clarity and compliance tracking. Qualifications and Experience: * CA / CMA / B.Tech / MBA (Finance) from reputed institutions. * 6–10 years of experience in financial analysis, taxation, or public finance consulting. * Preferred experience in government advisory or regulated sectors (alcohol, tobacco, petroleum). * Strong knowledge of revenue budgeting, financial modeling, and tax policy. * Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and financial analytics tools. * Excellent analytical, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
