The role involves end-to-end responsibility across design coordination, site execution, quality assurance, contractor management, and regulatory compliance, especially within a cGMP-regulated environment. Project Planning & Execution Lead civil engineering activities across project lifecycle – from concept/design review to execution and project close-out. Review layouts, structural drawings, BOQs, specifications, and ensure alignment with project requirements. Develop and monitor civil project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Design Coordination & Engineering Management Coordinate with design engineering consultants (DECs) for civil and structural design deliverables. Review technical submissions, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. Resolve design-related issues in coordination with cross-functional teams (MEP, process, architecture). Site Execution & Contractor Management Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and safety requirements. Manage contractors, vendors, and subcontractors – evaluate performance and ensure contractual compliance. Conduct regular site reviews and progress monitoring with clear reporting mechanisms. Quality, Safety & Compliance Ensure civil works are executed as per quality standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements (cGMP, where applicable) . Implement QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, and material approvals. Ensure adherence to safety standards and coordinate with EHS teams for compliance. Cost Control & Procurement Support Review BOQs, provide technical inputs during vendor evaluation, and validate work executed based on the BOQs.. Monitor project costs and identify opportunities for optimization without compromising quality. Support procurement in finalizing contractors and technical negotiations. Documentation & Reporting Maintain comprehensive project documentation including drawings, revisions, approvals, and site records. Track progress vs plan and provide regular MIS reports to senior management. Ensure audit-ready documentation and support during audits and inspections. Key Skills & Competencies Strong expertise in civil and structural engineering for industrial projects . In-depth understanding of construction management, contracts, and site execution . Familiarity with cGMP facility requirements and cleanroom infrastructure (preferred). Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD and project tools (Primavera/MS Project preferred). Educational Qualification B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory) M.Tech / PMP certification will be an added advantage Preferred Experience Experience in greenfield/brownfield pharmaceutical or API projects . Exposure to working with international consultants. Proven track record of managing large capital projects with multiple stakeholders. Other Requirements Willingness to travel to project sites (e.g., manufacturing locations) as required. Strong leadership capability with ability to manage teams and contractors.
