About this role
- Lead design and development of tractor implements and farm machinery such as cultivators, ploughs, rotavators, seeders, planters, harrows, tillers and mowers.
- Manage concept development, 3D modeling, 2D drawings, assemblies, BOM/EBOM and design release.
- Ensure proper integration with tractor 3-point linkage, PTO, hydraulics and hitching systems.
- Lead prototype development, testing, validation and field trials.
- Conduct design calculations, load analysis, DFMEA, tolerance analysis and design reviews.
- Resolve design and field issues through RCA, corrective actions and design improvements.
- Drive VA/VE, cost optimization, weight reduction and product improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with R&D, Testing, Quality, Manufacturing, SCM, Suppliers and Service teams.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and technology evaluation for new implement development.
- Manage engineering changes, drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.
- Lead and mentor the Implements Design team and ensure timely completion of development projects.
