Senior Manager - Foundry Operations (Steel and Replicast)

Role

To manage and lead the Stainless Steel and Replicast foundry to reduce and sustain casting rejection and rework through optimized methoding and ensure consistent and reliable quality of casting as per laid down processes and systems in the most cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities:

To design and improve methoding of new products through simulation software

• To standardize methoding and processes and prepare method cards for Stainless Steel MOCs for Alphaset No Bake sand system and Replicast process.

• To Monitor and Control the process to achieve rejection and rework as per business targets

• To optimize cost of manufacturing through improvement in gross yield • To plan daily visits to machine shop to understand and improve casting rework and rejection

• To plan and present Quality Improvements on Rejection, Rework and Yield Improvement

• To standardize, review and control the process parameters
• To review and design methoding of new products

• To co-ordinate and support to pattern shop in new pattern designing and manufacturing

• To review and suggest product design changes suitable to improve casting quality • To able to make 3D methoding to incorporate the same in tooling manufacturing or 3D printing

• To able conduct trials on shop floor to improve quality, productivity and cost reduction

Preferred candidate profile

Education requirement::- DMD or BE in Mechanical or Metallurgy

Technical Skills Requirement

• Knowledge of casting methods in Carbon Steels, Austenitic, Ferritic, Martensitic, Duplex and Super duplex Stainless Steelcastings

• Knowledge of casting processes 2 part No-Baked, Lost Foam or Replicast and hands-on experience of applicable methods

• Knowledge of 3D printing would be preferred

• Knowledge and hands-on working experience in CAD ProE or Catia
