Senior Manager - Contracts

Role & responsibilities

• Managing all aspects of contract administration and claims management for a major expressway project.
• Administer main contracts, subcontracts, work orders and related commercial agreements.
• Review contract conditions, specifications, BOQ, drawings, employers requirements and scope of work
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, notice provisions, milestones and deliverables.
• Provide contractual interpretation and advice to the Project Manager / Project Director.
• Prepare and review EOT, prolongation, disruption, acceleration and other contractual claims.
• Coordinate with Planning / Project Controls teams for delay analysis and programme substantiation.
• Negotiate claims with the Employer, Engineer / Consultant and other stakeholders.
• Identify changes in scope, quantities, drawings, specifications and site conditions.
• Prepare, submit and negotiate variation proposals and maintain a variation register.
• Evaluate contractual entitlement and commercial impact of variations / change orders.
• Prepare / review subcontract agreements, work orders and commercial terms.
• Administer subcontractor claims, variations, EOT requests and final accounts.
• Regularly coordinating the importation of materials by obtaining necessary approvals and recommendation letters from Engineers and Employers, ensuring adherence to strict timelines to avoid demurrage charges at ports and customs offices.

Skills:

• FIDIC / EPC / infrastructure contract knowledge
• Claims management and contractual entitlement assessment
• Extension of Time (EOT) and delay analysis
• Variation / Change Order management

Desired Candidate Profile:

• 12-20 years of total relevant experience in construction / infrastructure / EPC projects.
• Strong preference for hands-on experience in road, highway or expressway projects.
