About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Vice President – SFMS Projects (NPS) with strong expertise in banking and payment systems, particularly NEFT, RTGS, and SFMS. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business and technology teams, drive requirement analysis, oversee solution design, and ensure the successful delivery and enhancement of critical banking applications.

This role requires a combination of banking domain knowledge, technical understanding, stakeholder management, and end-to-end project lifecycle experience in a high-availability banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business leaders and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements.
• Review system specifications and drive enhancements across SFMS, NEFT, RTGS, and other payment and settlement applications.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, workflows, and solution designs.
• Coordinate with business, development, testing, infrastructure, and vendor teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Review and contribute to High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), process flows, and technical documentation.
• Monitor project milestones, track requirements, manage risks, and provide regular status updates to senior management.
• Evaluate existing applications and recommend improvements in functionality, performance, architecture, and operational efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis, impact assessments, and risk mitigation planning.
• Review development and testing deliverables to ensure requirements are implemented accurately.
• Ensure application stability, regulatory compliance, and smooth operations in a 24365 banking environment.
• Lead stakeholder communication, resolve cross-functional issues, and guide team members toward successful delivery.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 12–25 years of overall IT experience, with at least 10 years of relevant experience in business requirements mapping, quality analysis, and the software development lifecycle.
• Strong banking domain experience, specifically in payment systems – NEFT and RTGS.
• Solid understanding of domestic and international payment systems, settlement processes, and banking regulations.
• Hands-on knowledge of PL/SQL, Oracle Database, SQL queries, and database concepts.
• Working knowledge of Core Java, J2EE, JSP, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, web services, middleware, and communication protocols.
• Familiarity with IBM MQ, Apache Tomcat, Unix/Linux environments (AIX/RHEL), and Windows.
• Understanding of network fundamentals and the PKI framework.
• Experience in requirements documentation, process mapping, risk assessment, and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Good to Have

• Experience with SFMS, trade finance messages, Letters of Credit (LC), and Bank Guarantees (BG).
• Knowledge of SWIFT MT 15022 and ISO 20022 messaging standards.
• Exposure to Unix scripting, Advanced Java, open-source technologies, and AngularJS.
• PMP certification.
