Senior Manager / AGM - GST (Indirect Taxation)

Role & responsibilities:

• Manage GST return filings including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and GSTR-9/9C for multiple GSTINs.
• Ensure timely and accurate GST compliance and statutory reporting.
• Perform Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation between GSTR-2B and books of accounts.
• Resolve ITC discrepancies through coordination with vendors and internal teams.
• Reconcile GST records with financial books and investigate variances.
• Handle GST notices, audits, assessments, and departmental communications.
• Coordinate with plant locations for data collection, validation, and compliance support.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and regulatory requirements.
• Support SAP-related GST processes and system enhancements.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives in GST operations.

Preferred candidate profile

• 15-20 years of experience in GST and indirect taxation.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP and GST Portal.
• Thorough understanding of GST laws, compliance requirements, and audit processes.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple plant locations and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience in manufacturing or large multi-location organizations will be preferred.
