About this role
About The Team
As a Senior Manager within Marketing Analytics & Data Science at Zillow Group, you'll lead a team at the heart of how Zillow's marketing organization makes data-driven decisions. Our team builds and maintains measurement frameworks, causal models, and analytical infrastructure that directly inform marketing budget allocation, channel strategy, and growth planning. Based in India, this role leads a team of data scientists who work in close partnership with Zillow's global Marketing, Product, and Engineering stakeholders. The work this team does—spanning Marketing Mix Modeling, incrementality testing, attribution, and performance analytics—directly shapes how Zillow invests in reaching customers across one of life's biggest milestones.
Zillow Group is a strategic, mission-driven organization focused on delivering exceptional experiences and measurable outcomes. Our work spans cross-functional partnership, scalable programs and operational excellence in support of Zillow's mission. We bring deep experience working across diverse teams in a dynamic, high-growth environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution to drive meaningful business impact. We are seeking an experienced professional to support our workforce expansion in India.
About The Role
Zillow Group is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Science to lead and grow the India-based Marketing Analytics & Data Science team. This is a people leadership role grounded in deep technical expertise in marketing measurement, MMM, and traditional marketing analytics. You will be responsible for building a high-performing team, owning the measurement strategy for Zillow's core marketing programs, and serving as the primary data science partner to senior marketing and business stakeholders.
This role operates at the intersection of marketing science, causal inference, and scalable analytics infrastructure. You will shape how the team approaches marketing effectiveness measurement while building the processes, culture, and capabilities needed to make the India team a foundational part of Zillow's global Marketing Data Science organization.
This is an opportunity to build and lead a world-class data science team in India while working on analytically challenging, globally significant marketing science problems. You'll partner across geographies, influence how Zillow invests its marketing dollars, and develop data scientists who go on to have meaningful careers at a globally recognized technology company.
This role has been categorized as an Office position. Office employees regularly work at the Zillow India office for approximately 80 to 100 percent of their time each month. Employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Zillow has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute.
In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role are eligible for incentive compensation subject to applicable laws and relevant Zillow policies. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
Who you are
You are a technically strong and commercially minded data science leader with deep expertise in marketing measurement and analytics. You understand how MMM, attribution, and causal inference connect to real marketing investment decisions, and you have the leadership presence to influence how those decisions get made. You combine statistical rigor with the ability to develop people, manage complex cross-functional relationships, and drive delivery in a distributed team environment. You are comfortable operating as both a strategic thought partner to senior stakeholders and a hands-on technical reviewer for your team's most challenging work.
You bring experience from organizations where marketing analytics is taken seriously—whether that's a global technology company, an Indian consumer tech company, a data-driven marketing organization, or a specialist analytics firm. You understand the discipline of marketing science and the craft of building teams that do it well.
Required Qualifications
