Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Loss Prevention professional to manage retail audits, risk assessment, inventory control, and operational compliance across multiple retail stores in South India.

The role involves conducting store audits, monitoring CCTV footage, investigating inventory discrepancies and operational irregularities, reviewing POS transactions, and implementing measures to minimize business losses. The candidate should have experience in organized retail operations, strong analytical and investigative skills, and the ability to independently manage loss prevention activities across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic and surprise retail store audits to ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and operational standards.
• Review store operations, inventory controls, cash handling, billing procedures, and documentation.
• Monitor CCTV footage to identify suspicious activities, theft, fraud, and operational deviations.
• Investigate incidents involving inventory shrinkage, suspected theft, employee misconduct, cash discrepancies, and other irregularities.
• Monitor stock movements, inventory adjustments, stock transfers, and discrepancies to identify potential losses.
• Oversee forward and reverse shipment processes and investigate shortages, excess quantities, damaged merchandise, and unauthorized stock movements.
• Review POS transactions, including refunds, returns, cancellations, void transactions, discounts, and employee discount usage.
• Conduct fixed asset verification and ensure accurate asset records across retail locations.
• Identify operational risks, control gaps, and recurring discrepancies, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
• Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports covering audit findings, incidents, inventory shrinkage, and compliance status.
• Coordinate with Retail Operations, Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Supply Chain, and store management teams to resolve identified issues.
• Track audit observations and ensure timely closure of corrective action plans.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Loss Prevention, Retail Audit, Risk Management, Retail Operations, or Compliance.
• Postgraduate degree from a recognized university.
• Experience in organized retail, preferably in footwear, fashion, apparel, lifestyle, or multi-brand retail.
• Strong understanding of multi-store retail operations, inventory management, cash handling, POS transactions, and store audits.
• Working knowledge of SAP and Genesys POS systems.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MIS reporting.
• Experience in CCTV monitoring, incident investigation, inventory reconciliation, and shrinkage control.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across South India.
