Senior / Lead Accountant - US Accounting

Accounting & Compliance:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IRS regulations, and local state tax laws.
• Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare and analyse financial statements, management reports, and ad hoc financial analyses.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support internal and external audits; ensure documentation is accurate and complete.

Software & Systems Management:

• Maintain accounting records using QuickBooks (Online & Desktop).

Use other accounting and productivity tools such as:

• NetSuite
• Zoho Books
• SAP Business One
• Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (advanced level)
• Bill.com for accounts payable automation
• Gusto / ADP / Paychex for payroll processing
• Expensify / Ramp / Brex for expense management
• Avalara or Tax Jar for sales tax compliance
• Stripe / PayPal / Shopify / Amazon Seller Central (if applicable)

Team Collaboration & Process Improvement:

• Mentor junior accounting staff and review their work for accuracy.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Operations, HR) for financial integration.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements; implement best practices in financial controls and reporting.

Education : -

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CA or equivalent
• 7+ years of accounting experience with 2+ years US-based or US GAAP-compliant accounting.
• Deep familiarity with QuickBooks and other modern accounting platforms.
