Senior Java Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-grade, secure, and scalable backend services and APIs.
• Lead architectural decisions for backend systems, promoting best practices and modern patterns.
• Develop robust RESTful and event-driven APIs for reliable system integration.
• Optimize backend systems for high performance, availability, and reliability.
• Champion continuous integration and deployment practices for fast, safe delivery cycles.
• Monitor, measure, and improve system observability, including logging, metrics, and alerting.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, QA, and operations to deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
• Create and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation for APIs and system components.
• Own service delivery from design through production, ensuring issues are addressed promptly.
• Mentor and support engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering professional growth.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards and share expertise.
• Respond to production incidents, lead root cause analysis, and drive remediation.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and technology.
• Ensure solutions adhere to internal quality standards and external compliance requirements.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business value.

• Technical Documentation: Writing clear READMEs and API docs (OpenAPI/Swagger) so others can actually use your work.
• Observability: Beyond just "logging," you need to use tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry to trace requests across distributed systems.
• Familiarity with general requirements for software development (e.g. KGAS) and formal verification standards.
