Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices for business-critical applications.
• Translate business and technical requirements into robust, maintainable software solutions.
• Design and implement scalable database solutions using relational and NoSQL databases.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-tested code following industry best practices.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Work closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver features end-to-end.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests to ensure application quality.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Ensure applications follow appropriate security, data protection, and coding standards, particularly in a fintech environment.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and contribute to engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Experience :

• 5–8 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
• Strong experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Strong experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with JPA/Hibernate.
• Good understanding of database design, indexing, transactions, and query optimization.
• Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.
• Strong understanding of unit testing using JUnit/Mockito.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Good understanding of application security and secure coding practices.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Good to Have:

• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with Kafka or other message-broker technologies.
• Exposure to AWS/Azure/GCP cloud platforms.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Redis or other caching technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Exposure to FinTech, Banking, Payments, or Financial Services.
• Understanding of security/compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, GDPR, or DORA.
• Experience working with high-volume transaction processing systems.
