Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Java Developer with 3 to 10 years of experience to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, backend development, RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL, and scalable application development. The role involves designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing high-performance backend applications while working collaboratively in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
2. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and external services.
3. Design, implement, and optimize PostgreSQL databases, queries, schemas, and indexes.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve application and production issues efficiently.
5. Use Git for source code management, including branching, merging, and conflict resolution.
6. Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders.
7. Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and code reviews.
8. Optimize application and database performance for scalable and high-volume applications.
9. Follow coding standards, best practices, and maintain clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
10. Prepare and maintain technical documentation for APIs, application logic, and database structures.

Required Skills:

• 3 to 10 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and advanced SQL queries.
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
• Good working knowledge of Git, including branching, merging, and conflict resolution.
• Hands-on experience with JPA/Hibernate.
• Familiarity with Maven or Gradle.
• Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Knowledge of Jenkins and CI/CD practices is an advantage.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms is a plus.
• Experience with Microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes is desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
