Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our talented engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing scalable, high-performance backend services using Java and the Spring Framework. The position requires hands-on development, architectural contributions, and close collaboration with engineering, design, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to software architecture and technical design discussions.
• Define and communicate technical requirements and implementation plans.
• Collaborate with frontend and mobile teams for backend integrations.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and related technologies.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices following industry best practices.
• Develop and maintain data models, databases, and business logic.
• Build integration modules between internal and external systems.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and code quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development and production environments.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to backend systems.
• Foster collaboration and contribute to a positive team culture.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in Java backend development.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of Microservices Architecture, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JPA, and Hibernate.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
• Cloud experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and MS SQL Server.
• Experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Understanding of OAuth2, SSO, Azure AD, and authentication mechanisms.
• Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and JVM internals.
• Comfortable working in Linux environments.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools.
• Exposure to Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
