Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.  Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Senior IT Analyst Applications (The Warehousing & Distribution Centre (DC) Business Analyst) to  join our  Applications Development & Intelligence Automation -CAT IT Division Bangalore Team.  The incumbent would bring deep functional expertise across inbound, storage, fulfillment, and outbound logistics, combined with strong analytical and systems knowledge to enable efficient, scalable DC operations. The preference for this role is to be based out of  Bangalore PSN Office, KA-India   What you will do  Role Definition – Business Analyst Gathers and documents user/client requirements, supports the development and testing of new products or services, collects feedback from clients, and recommends improvements. Responsibilities Assisting in the development, testing, and delivery of services/products; Analyzing existing offerings, preparing technical documentation, and recommending upgrades. Conducting market research to do a comparative analysis of competitor offerings and provide recommendations for developing a more effective product/service. Identifying user/client requirements for a product or service and defining technical specifications; Preparing technical documentation and sharing them with senior analysts and technical teams. Supporting senior analysts by fulfilling their data requests, preparing reports, and providing technical assistance; Participating in initiatives to improve processes efficiency and employee productivity. Analyze and document end‑to‑end warehouse and distribution center processes—including receiving, put‑away, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counting, and returns—to identify gaps, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities. •Partner with warehouse managers, DC supervisors, logistics, transportation, and inventory stakeholders to translate operational needs into clear functional requirements for WMS, ERP, warehouse mobility, and automation technologies. Support configuration and optimization of warehousing systems (e.g., location strategies, picking methods, labor standards, wave planning, yard and dock management) to improve throughput, accuracy, and service levels. Define and validate business rules, data models, KPIs, and reports related to inventory accuracy, order cycle time, fill rate, dock‑to‑stock, and labor productivity, while leading UAT and change activities to ensure adoption of standard, repeatable warehouse processes. Suggests conclusions with results drawn from business data analysis Technical Writing/Documentation: Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals, reports, guidelines or documents on standards, processes and applications. Level Working Knowledge: Implements technical documentation standards, guidelines and best practices. Prepares written text and layout of materials according to required outlines and specifications. Completes and maintains technical reference documents. Uses the major features, functions and facilities of an automated documentation tool.  Coordinates and constantly updates system operations, installations, service manuals, and help documents. Research Analysis: Knowledge of the concepts, methodologies and methods of research analysis; ability to locate, interpret and evaluate research findings compiled and documented by others. Level Extensive Experience: Interprets new findings and analyzes their validity. Advises on advanced research analysis methods. Evaluates research analysis best practices within the industry. Analyzes published research reports and their possible implications. Implements research analysis standards within the organization. Controls the quality of research analysis.
