About the Role
As a Senior SDET focused on DevOps and infrastructure, you will build automated test frameworks and validation workflows for AWS environments, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments. This is not a traditional manual QA role. You will apply software engineering and automation practices to verify that infrastructure changes are functional, secure, repeatable and compliant before they reach production. You will work closely with DevOps, Platform Engineering, Security and Compliance teams to test infrastructure changes, identify configuration and deployment defects, improve release confidence and strengthen automated validation across Keeper’s cloud environments.
Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain automated test frameworks for AWS infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code and deployment workflows
Validate infrastructure changes across VPCs, subnets, routing, NAT gateways, IAM, security groups, load balancers and related AWS services
Develop automated tests for Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible or similar infrastructure-as-code implementations
Build validation into CI/CD pipelines to identify infrastructure, configuration and deployment issues before production release
Test containerized and Kubernetes-based environments for functionality, resilience, configuration and security
Validate infrastructure hardening and security controls against applicable STIG, CIS and compliance requirements
Develop automated integration, regression, smoke, performance and failure-recovery tests for platform and infrastructure changes
Verify that Keeper applications and services continue to operate correctly as underlying infrastructure and deployment configurations change
Analyze logs, metrics and telemetry to troubleshoot failures and produce clear, reproducible defect reports
Partner with DevOps and Platform engineers to identify test gaps, improve infrastructure testability and automate repetitive validation workflows
Support audit readiness and compliance validation by producing repeatable test results and technical evidence
Use AI-assisted tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot or similar platforms to improve test development, debugging, root-cause analysis, documentation and workflow efficiency
Requirements
5+ years of experience as an SDET, Software Engineer in Test, Infrastructure Test Engineer or similarly automation-focused engineering role
Strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and networking, including VPCs, subnets, routing, NAT gateways, security groups and IAM
Strong experience testing or validating infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible or similar technologies
Proficiency in Python, Bash, Go or another language used for test automation and infrastructure validation
Experience building automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar platforms
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Strong understanding of infrastructure testing, configuration validation, integration testing and failure-recovery scenarios
Experience troubleshooting cloud and infrastructure issues using logs, metrics and observability platforms such as Datadog
Familiarity with security hardening and compliance requirements such as CIS benchmarks, DISA STIGs, FedRAMP, SOC 2 or ISO 27001
Strong understanding of Git-based development workflows and automated software delivery practices
Ability to work closely with DevOps, Platform Engineering, Security and Compliance teams to diagnose complex technical issues
Ability and willingness to use AI-assisted tools effectively to improve test automation, debugging, technical analysis and documentation
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience validating infrastructure in FedRAMP High, DoD, IL5 or similarly regulated cloud environments
Experience with automated infrastructure testing frameworks such as Terratest, pytest or similar tools
Experience testing Kubernetes infrastructure, container security or deployment resilience
Familiarity with vulnerability scanning, compliance drift detection or SIEM integrations
Experience with AWS GovCloud and/or Azure Government
Familiarity with secrets management, IAM, PAM or zero-trust security architectures
