About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior HPC Engineer to join our growing team in Hyderabad. In this role, you will design, implement, migrate, and optimize cloud-based HPC environments supporting scientific research, AI/ML, and data-intensive workloads. You will work closely with researchers, cloud architects, and engineering teams to deliver highly scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient HPC solutions on AWS. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and optimize AWS-based HPC architectures and clusters. Configure and manage workload schedulers such as Slurm, PBS, and AWS Batch. Administer and optimize Linux-based HPC environments. Migrate, benchmark, and tune scientific applications for cloud performance. Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools. Automate deployment and operational processes using scripting and DevOps practices. Implement and manage containerized HPC workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS). Troubleshoot performance, storage, networking, and application-level issues. Collaborate with researchers, data engineers, and cloud architects to deliver innovative solutions. Monitor cluster health, utilization, scalability, and cost optimization. Create technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture best practices. Mentor team members and contribute to HPC solution accelerators and reusable frameworks.

Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in High-Performance Computing (HPC). Strong knowledge of HPC cluster architecture, scheduling systems, and performance optimization. Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, EKS/ECS, FSx, S3, Batch, and Lambda. Expertise in Linux administration and troubleshooting. Experience with Slurm, PBS, AWS Batch, or similar workload scheduling technologies. Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Shell scripting. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Strong understanding of networking, storage, distributed computing, and cluster management. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with scientific applications such as GROMACS, NAMD, ANSYS, RELION, cryoSPARC, NONMEM, or genomics workloads. Knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. Exposure to Big Data, Data Lake, and AI/ML platforms. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Familiarity with multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud architectures. Experience supporting Healthcare, Life Sciences, and Scientific Research organizations.
